Will my credit card work if I change my statement address to a foreign country?

I am moving to France from the US and need to change my billing address on my credit card. If I change the statement address to a French one, will my US credit card still work?|||Card provider may well want to close your account and require you to pay outstanding balance before it is closed. Would you be happy for someone scheduled to be making monthly payments to you to suddenly move thousands of miles away to another country?|||Will be worth speaking to your bank before making the move as there may be insurance liabilities for offering credit to a non-resident.

If the bank has operations in France, they may transfer you there.

The credit conditions and currencies are completely different for both countries so may be more expensive for you to run a credit card abroad.

So go in to the bank and chat to an adviser will be the best move.|||bank may then cancel your account, or sell it to a French bank. many won't do so -- BUT they might require that you accept electronic delivery of statements.
