How does disputing a charge on your credit card affect your credit rating?

I disputed a charge on my credit card several months ago, and it showed up on my credit card. I was wondering how does that affect my score?|||I don't think there is any reason for it

to show up, surely it won't do any good

to dispute and then change your mind, perhaps

there's something from this lot:

if you get any luck please don't forget about me lol, hope it helped you!|||It doesn't even show up on your credit report unless your dispute is denied and you still don't pay.|||It wont. I asked a rep when i was doing it|||disputing a charge on your credit report doesn't necessarily do anything with you credit. you need to add some more info because it doesn't seem like anything wrong. did you go over the limit or stop paying the card?

i really can't see why a credit card item dispute would show up on your credit. it not a customary thing to do but if it's true, i can't see why it would do damage to your credit report.

as for another dispute, do it. a double charge is very is to fix and prove. first contact the merchant and tell them you got double charged. if that doesn't fix it, dispute it with the credit card company.|||If everything is done properly, there will be no effect from the dispute. There may be effects if you wait too long (and don't pay the bill) and then dispute. Also the merchant or service provider that you are disputing may file something until the dispute is over. You may wish to get a free copy of your credit report.

Here's a trick There are three agency's Get your report from only one at a time and spread out your requests over 4 months. That way you can ask the first company in a year for another report and you can keep on top of your reports for free.|||Dispute do not effect your credit score, nor are they considered derogatory against your credit.|||The only way it can hurt your credit is if you didn't pay the legitimate charges on your card while you were disputing that one (someone people dispute a charge and forget that they have 10 other charges that they have to pay in the meantime)|||It wont be displayed
