How do i sell using online credit card transactions?

I am planning to start a small business that would require people to pay online with credit cards. How do I set this up? Is it the credit card companies, or banks or someone else?|||You need to setup an account with a merchant services provider.|||You can also register with PayPal or Google Checkout.
