What is a good credit card to get for a college student?

I need a good credit card to get that i will be easily accepted. Yes, i will be responsible with it. I plan on just paying for gas with it to build my credit up.|||Several things have to be taken into consideration:

Do you have any credit history at all? If not, you might have to go with a secured card.

If you have history, but it's not great, you may need a rebuilder card, like Credit One.

Do you have a job or any income history? No one is going to give you credit on your own with no job. No job? You may have to ask a parent to add you as an authorized user on one of theirs. Do this only if their card has a stellar history.

Lastly, the visa debit mentioned above is NOT a credit card and will not be reported to the 3 agencies.|||The Citi Forward Card is a great option for college students. The card rewards you for good financial behavior, has no annual fee, a decent rewards program, and is obviously meant for students with limited or no credit history. Hopefully you have some income to include as part of your application. If not, you might need a cosigner to get approved.

Remember, always live within your means, use your credit cards sparingly, pay your cards in full and on time, and your FICO scores will love you.|||Visa Debit card from wells fargo
