How does transferring balances on my credit card affect my credit score?

I consolidated two credit cards onto one new credit card that offered 6 months 0% APR and then a lower APR after those months were up than what the charges were on before. I have been making monthly payments and have made good dent in the debt, but now are receiving better balance transfer offers. Should I transfer the balance again, even though it has been just over the 6 months? Will is hurt my credit, which is pretty good right now?|||I'd be a little careful about this. You keep opening new lines of credit and all of them are showing up on your credit report. Of course, the two that you consolidated should be showing as "paid" now unless you've run up some some more debt on them.

It probably wouldn't hurt you but be careful applying for a lot of different credit offers. Every time you apply, it shows up on your report whether you actually get the card/loan or not and it starts to look like you've applied a lot of places and are desperate or something. You know it's easily explainable but the clerk that is sitting there looking at your report doesn't know that.
